Treaty 7 territory

narissa_jessa2

Narissa Jessa (she/her/hers) has always known from early on in her career that she has a passion for inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA). She thrives on helping others and has a strong belief that people are an organizations most important asset.
Narissa has worked in the IDEA space for three years where she has developed workshops, hosted large diversity events across Canada and the US, and has assisted in developing IDEA strategies. She also has experience working with Inclusion Councils and Employee Resource Groups. Narissa has a passion for cultivating workplaces that are inclusive for all, and where everyone can bring their true authentic selves to work. As a child of immigrant parents, she learned from a young age the importance of fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed and strives to make that difference in organizations and the world at large.
Narissa finds it fundamentally important to give back and be involved in the community. She often finds herself volunteering for local communities and supporting locally owned businesses. As a lifelong learner, Narissa is committed to continuously learning new things and unlearning what she thinks she knows. Pushing boundaries and climbing new mountains is what she aspires to do every day.
She graduated from Mount Royal University in 2021 with a major in Human Resources, Marketing, and General Management. She proudly recognizes and is grateful to live on Treaty 7 territory.
