With a degree in Psychology and a background in the law, Lindsay (She/Her/Hers) has always had a passion and a curiosity for people. A keen observer of the world around her and the experiences of others, Lindsay has been a staunch advocate for underrepresented groups and individuals for as long as she can remember. After spending several years as a lawyer in a boutique oil and gas law firm and the next 10 years working with an oil and gas major, Lindsay became very aware of the conscious and unconscious biases that can exist in the workplace, and the incredible impact that a strong foundation of diversity, inclusion and accessibility can make – both inside and outside of work.
It is with this background that Lindsay has come to find her passion in the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) space and has brought her passion to this work for over 5 years – leading Employee Resource Groups, delivering training and education sessions, and playing a critical role in the development and implementation of IDEA policies and programs across large-scale organizations. Lindsay was instrumental in the development and implementation of her organization’s first DEI Council, a significant milestone the organization’s ongoing Journey to foster a corporate culture of conscious inclusion and accessibility. Lindsay is an active participant in the IDEA community and offers consultation services, delivers speaking engagements, and participates in communities of practice as often as she is able.
Lindsay is a voracious learner, an enthusiastic leader, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her passion with others as a part of The Human Movement. As Lindsay so often heard saying – “Together, we truly can make the world a better and more inclusive place”.
